My Role

Initially, Paramount+ app navigation and content structure was confusing, causing users to struggle with finding key titles.

My goal was to restructure the information architecture (IA) of the app to improve discoverability, usability, and overall efficiency.

I was responsible for auditing and reorganizing content to align with user needs and product goals through collaboration with UX designers and product managers to refine the new IA and content hierarchy.

Content Audit

I conducted a thorough audit of the app to identify redundancies, gaps, and inconsistencies in different region's content structure. This helped me understand navigation challenges and pain points users may face while browsing for available titles.

Redesigning the Structure

I created a new navigation framework that prioritized high-traffic and high-priority content. Then, I further organized content into logical categories and applied naming conventions that aligned with user mental models before working with designers to develop prototypes of the new IA.

Results:

  • Reduced time-to-task completion for users as they found key information (series, films and collections) more quickly.

  • Decreased support tickets related to navigation and content confusion.

  • Improved user satisfaction scores for the carousels post-restructure.
